MASTERMIND MAGIC WALLET!
A secret thought of object is written on a post it note inside of a wallet, closed and rubber bands are placed around it. The Magician takes the wallet from the spectator and quickly places it in his/her pocket for safe keeping. The performer can then read the spectator’s mind! Check the post it note to prove you were correct and give it back to the spectator.

The secret of this effect can be credited to the Mind Readers Billet Reader (this original prop can be seen in the demo). Nelson Enterprises sold this billet reader effect in the 1950's/1960's. Years later Tenyo released a similar category effect called Mind Scanner. Since then others have put out versions using the same secret.
