The Magician states He / She has an "Invisible Deck" of playing cards. The "cards" are taken out of the card case and spread out for the spectator to take a card. (Of course the spectator is being a good sport and playing along with the Magician.) The Magician asks the spectator to turn their selected card face down and place it back in the card deck. The "cards" are placed back inside of the card case also. Now the Magician produces a real deck of playing cards!* For the first time, the spectator names their selected card. It is a totally free selection. The cards that are enclosed within the card case are shown for the first time to the audience. There is only one card face up in the entire deck -- the selected card!
