Spectators see a wooden box with a slot in the top and the bottom. The slot looks like it is big enough for a coin to pass through. However, if a square of glass* is placed in the box, it blocks the holes. The magician now proposes the impossible: he/she will cause a coin to magically penetrate the sheet of solid glass*.
*Please note: the glass supplied is not actual glass, but a more durable plastic type clear sheet.
